Learnings from Recent State Elections in India
- Complacency never helps garner support as if you grow complacent, you tend to become arrogant and this is what BJP leaders need to learn from the Gujarat Elections
- Never divert your attention from where you have been strong, ensure that sufficient balance is maintained between you strong and weak foot. INC leaders need to learn this from their losses in Himachal and Gujarat. They should not have solely focused on Gujarat and neglect Himachal.
- Caste based division may help you garner additional votes, but they wouldn't help you actually win. INC needs to learn this as the face of Young Indians is not caste, they prefer development and that should be the main focus to ensure that a right message goes to the voters
- Portraying yourself that you are not will only create confusion and there are way many more than you can actually think to expose your truth. INC must learn this from Gujarat results. Rahul Gandhi can't portray as a Hindu when he was said to be Baptized in Italy and had a catholic upbringing. Jut putting on Janeu (Sacred Thread) doesn't mark you as Hindu or Brahmin, you need to showcase that in your behavior and the life that you lead
- Transparency is very important and no amount of sops would help you garner the support that you need if you don't maintain transparency. The voters now are way more informed than in past with electronic media reaching in the reach of their palm. It is important that any policy and procedure should be well drafted and communicated to ensure that masses understand it the way it should be and don't get influenced by any skewed version
- When you walk out there, walk out with polite attitude and not sugar coated or arrogant. People have shed that process off where they used to look at party symbol or a single candidate. Now they vote on merit
- For local elections, please ensure that local issues are discussed rather than trying to cross pollinate with other states or the national level. demographic and other differences have a big impact on perception of schemes of development across the nation v/s a specific state

M K Gandhi and Nathuram Godse - A viewpoint
Received a message on Social networking that contains a letter claimed to be from the Great Grandson of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi alias Mahatma Gandhi alias Baapu alias Father of Nation in India. Though I can't vouch for the originality of this letter, but the overall aspects highlighted in the letter is worth a read.
Highlight of Letter is the misuse or say abuse or say milking of the incident where Nathuram Godse had killed MK Gandhi. It has been almost 69 year to that incident , but INC still tries to exploit that episode. If they are trying that hard, it is important that some truth from the others should also see the light of the day.

😳 Do spare a moment to know the truth from original "Gandhi" :
Mahatma Gandhi's great grandson Shri Krishna Kulkarni's open letter to
Rahul Gandhi in response to the Congress VP saying the RSS had killed Gandhi..
Dear Mr. Rahul Gandhi,
Gandhiji was my great grandfather. He was assassinated by Mr. Nathuram Godse.
Many inquiry commissions have researched the case and none has implicated the RSS.
My grandfather Ramdas Gandhi wrote to the then Home Minister, Sardar Patel to spare Mr. Godse the capital punishment.
Our family had moved on even then... but...just for your information..when Ramdas Gandhi lay dying in Mumbai (1969), Mr. Gopal Godse, the younger brother of Mr. Nathuram Godse did pay him a visit.
So as it stands, this issue is squarely in the past and my family has moved on........
My humble suggestion -- your folks who own Congress (I) and your
goodself...should move on AND QUIT milking the name of Gandhi and this issue for YOUR SELFISH BENEFITS.
Have the magnanimity to accept the verdicts of the various commissions. To keep harping that the RSS killed Gandhi is akin to saying the Sikhs killed your GRANDMOTHER ... which would be such a petty falsehood isn't it?
A couple of guys don't make for a community.... So please stop this charade, stop this opportunistic usage of the Gandhi name.
YOU ARE NOT FROM THE GANDHI FAMILY. YOU HAVE FOOLED TOO MANY PEOPLE FOR TOO LONG USING GANDHI NAME IN INDIA. STOP IT NOW.
Feroze Gandhi was in reality Feroze Khan, son of a Gujarati Pathan Nawab Khan of Junagadh and his wife was a Parsi who had converted to Islam.
Your grandmother Indira was also a Muslim having converted to Islam to
marry Feroze.
You are a mixture of Muslim and Christian.
There is no Rahul or Gandhi in you.
YOU are nowhere close to being a HINDU but a combination of MUSLIM/CATHOLIC DNA - with due respect to all the communities.
I am putting this in the public domain as someone from the Gandhi family has to call your bluff.
- Mr. Krishna Kulkarni

Delhi Elections 2015 - Some Facts Some Speculations
- BJP bags 2.9 million votes winning 3 seats in State Assembly against 2.6 in 2014 General Elections when it won 7 Loksabha seats. An Increase of vote base by 300,000+
- The percentile votes for BJP more or less hovered at the same as 2014 General Elections - 33%
- AAP made a landslide of vote share with almost 54% votes bagging some 15% from Congress and another around 9% from Others
- Congress was reduced to 0 with around 9.7% votes and 62 of its candidates had to surrender their Security Deposits. Only 8 could save it.
- BSP and other parties were also reduced to 0
- Delhi does not have the 100% status of state. It hangs there in between State and Union Territory
- Delhi is impatient and the impatience of Delhi is unruly. They want quick turnaround of the promises made. The discontent and the unruly patience of Delhi can be well attributed to the 15 years of Congress regime (that's a separate topic and not something I want to elaborate here)
- If it were BJP in center and BJP in Delhi as a "State", it would have been difficult for BJP to stand the pressure of Local Masses to fulfill the promises made
- Delhi would have wanted more governance initiatives with involvement of Center and BJPs focus could have been distracted from the nation-wide campaign they want to run - "Congress Free India"
- BJP state functionary is one of the most disobedient in Delhi
- BJP would be more focused on the destabilized Bihar where they would want better standing
- BJP would be more concerned with securing more seats in the Upper House - Rajya Sabha from the Northern states of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh (UP) and eastern state of West bengal
- BJP would want to utilize Delhi as a case study to shore up AAP as the main rival than Congress, thus eliminating Congress from the National level
- BJP would let AAP die its own death for not being able to fulfill the promises of Ample Water (there is a dependency on Haryana to that effect and Haryana has BJP Government. We may see Karnataka v/s Tamil Nadu case replicating sooner or later)
- Law and Order in Delhi is controlled by Central Government, another area where AAP may get frustrated
- Any Legislative Bill that needs to be presented in Delhi has to be routed through Home Ministry (the one card that BJP played last time with Jan Lokpal), another point where AAP may get frustrated

Recent Delhi Legislative Assembly Elections and the Fallouts
- People of Delhi at least won and they brought a change
- The AAP government took over the reigns under a High Pressure situation and heavy load of expectations
- The People of Delhi started measuring the Govt from the day of Swearing in ceremony
- The Political parties - Opposition for that matter started clamping down on AAP with various comical statements, pictures and interpretations on Social Media as well as Conventional Media
- One of the AAP MLA revolts against the Party and Govt calling the CM as liar and one who betrayed the people of Delhi - one twisting tale
- Letting politicians cross over from other parties to AAP. Their biggest mistake. The Revolting MLA actually crossed over from another Party that AAP had sighted as Corrupt
- Continuing as Crusader even after coming to the Power. Now that AAP has formed the government, they need to follow the law rather than mock it
- Making statements that themselves may be contradictory to what other's in the party have to say. They need to understand that before entering the politics, the points they used to make were considered as their personal opinion, but now they are considered as the voice of a political outfit and somewhere of the Government of Delhi.
