Growing up with Age

We all certainly grow up in age, but that also results in us growing up on ego and attitude.  There is no harm to have ego and attitude, but that needs to be in the right place, not everywhere and not with everyone.  It is important and while we grow in age, we also come to age and accept the politeness and courtesy as demanded by the world.  Indeed, the world would neither accept our ego nor would it honor our attitude, if both were in wrong place, for the wrong reason and with wrong timing.

Having attitude is indeed a good thing if we are able to control the expression and aggression associated and ensure that the attitude is put to right use at the right time and to achieve the right results.  It is always suggested to ensure that our attitude doesn't rise to our head and guide us on the path of self destruction.

With respect to ego, well everyone has ego, some conquer it and many lose out to it.  those who conquer ego come out as shining and successful in their life.  They might at times get offended, get hurt and get bowed down, but in the end it is they, who we call victorious.  For those who get conquered by ego, they bite the dust down the lane of life and are always out there to insult and hut others. Ego is once again somewhere related to respect, so in my view, where there is respect & self respect, there is no ego and where there is ego, there is no respect.  So we do have to conquer our ego for the purpose of being respected, being successful and be victorious in our lives.

However, it is important to also ensure that Ego should not die and the Attitude should not vanish, they are important for our survival.  A right mix would always help in defining our persona and character to get there, where we want or where we desire to be.

Mixed Month Posts for August 2016 - Bulletin

May be it was olympics or the busy schedule I have been going through or may be just laziness per say; I think I missed writing for almost a month.  When I turn back there has been so much that transpired in India as well as world that I really got confused at which topic to select from. So I decided to do a catch up act for the purpose of ensuring that my article doesn't go out of shape.  There would be different parts in which I would like to cover various topics that I would have written if I would not have missed the bus....Read On

1. We all heard that Secretary of State John Kerry visited India and was stuck in traffic snarls for an hour or so.  Now, while addressing the crowd at IIT Delhi, he mocked if they all made it to the venue by boat.  Interesting to note and it seems John Kerry forgot the Snow Storm that hit the East Coast couple years back, wish somebody would have asked him if he made it to his office on sledge.  However, jokes apart, we need to focus more on the water logging problem in Delhi and the mess of the stuff by the State Government v/s Central Government Control there.  It needs to be looked at as the failure to deliver and failure to govern.  I have lived in NCR for quite sometime, but never saw such a mess of state before this.  When I looked at the Pictures and Videos, it seemed to me as if they were to be from Mumbai.  However, Mumbai would declare such scenario before hand with declared school holiday, travel only if required advisory etc.  But Delhi, am sure has to learn a lot after seeing such deluge. Thankfully, I didn't hear any casualty news amid the mess.
2. France  Burkini episode made heads turn with the video and images of Burkini related episodes and people started calling that as Islamophobia. Interesting that they all missed the bus and no one ever noticed the video or news on a woman being thrashed by Muslim Men for god knows what reason.  Apparently, I heard the news and am trying to get that video to put it in public domain, but then it has been a tough task.  But for sure Burkini made the headlines with all Pseudo Intellects and Pseudo Seculars in the world lining up to support a medieval period practice that is used for oppression of women.  And well, why was Burkini designed in the first place when we already had something called Wetsuit in place that divers do use, if complete body suite is must, then Wetsuit does provide the option. Isn't it in itself a way to radicalize and raise tempers? And eh, last I heard US suggested France to lift up the Burkini Ban....eh Hypocrisy??
3. Piers Morgon, God knows who is he, started mocking at the India's 2 medal win at Olympics.  Why? for god knows what reason and went ahead to challenge Virender Sehwag for a bet of Rs. 1 million if UK wins a world cup before India wins (another) gold at Olympics.  he seems to have a week or no memory that India as 9 gold (8 in Hockey & 1 in Shooting) but England has no World Cup win.  They tried to claim that they won ICC T20 World Cup in 2010, whoa what a shame trying to compete on unequal grounds??  What more can be said about Piers Morgon that he needs some real life to get some facts in place.  He should not forget that for 200 years England ruled India calling it British India, they accumulated mammoth amount of wealth through trade (giving India nothing),  plundered Indian wealth the biggest example of that is Kohinoor Diamond that is part of queens' crown and also transporting millions of labors as well as soldiers from India.  Piers need to also note that even today British Army has Gurkha's as soldiers and the Gurkha's need not be citizens of England to join the Army there. So, the next time he opens his mouth, he needs to live with the fact that if he has the guts to speak some crap, we have the guts to put that crap back in his mouth.  Anyways, he seems to have suffered with Foot in Mouth disease when he tweeted all that stuff.
4. Indian State of J&K was reeling under curfew after violence erupted post merciless killing of terrorist Burhan Wani dubbed as the son of a poor School HeadMaster by none other than nawazon se pali Burkha (oops Barkha) Dutt. What else, that the terrorist was declared Martyr by ppl from neighbor Pakistan. The violence, rioting or the violent protest by a peace loving community lasted for almost 51 days and guess where did that money come from to fund them to sit at home and enjoy paid vacations?  Per Sources crores of funds were mobilized through Hawala route and that is now being investigated by Income Tax Sleuths in India. Ah and I haven't heard much of violence in last day or two since the curfew was lifted when the State treasury had to distribute the Salaries for NOT working for almost two months.  Eh, seems protestors want to have the legal money also with them before hitting the Indian security forces once again with stones and other possible means.  It is also rumored or may be a truth that Nawazon se pali Barkha Dutt is leading the brigade to end use of Palate Bullets that hurt 5 to 15 year old in eye, nose, face and where not.  But while doing so, why does Ms. Dutt forget that the Indian Security forces never entered any house to shoot someone, so what were these young kids or tender age doing on the street with stone pelting crowd?  Certainly, the protestors used them as their defense.  While broadcasting the news of palate gun use, they are talking about the 70 Kashmiris killed and few thousand hurt, but they forget to mention the 1600 some indian security personnel who were severely hurt due to stone pelting.  Moreover, why don't the likes of Barkha Dutt, Sagarika Ghose, Rana Ayyub etc etc (morons) report on the atrocities by the protesting crowd to stop Doctors and patients including pregnant ladies??  Hell, yeah Pseudo Secular Yellow Journalist crowd....
5. Baluchistan made news and headlines with Indian PM Modi mentioning about it along with POK, Gilgit and Baltistan.  Baluchistan was forcefully annexed to Pakistan and since then has been treated like a second grade province.  Though rich in natural wealth, Baluchistan never progressed like it should have and people there have been ever fighting against the oppression of Pakistan.  the genocide and other atrocities by Pakistani forces in Baluchistan has ever fueled the voice of Independence by separatist Balochi leaders.  I would cover this topic in detail with entire history and geography of Baluchistan to do the right justice to this topic.

The Real India - What Does that mean?

I have been reading various responses, opinions and counter opinions on the recent developments around the FDI, Coal Block Scam, Diesel Price Hike, Cap on Cooking Gas Cylinders etc.  I also have been following up the developments around the same in the Political circles.  It was pretty interesting that the Opposition didn't let the Parliamentary Proceedings take place for most part of the Mansoon Session as they wanted the Prime Minister to make a statement in Parliament.  Whenever the Prime Minister was at the verge of making the statement, they would halt the proceedings and the day's session would be called off.  

Now today when the Prime minister addressed the nation over the recent Developments on FDI in Multi-brand Retail, Diesel Price hike and Cap on Cooking Gas Cylinders, I happened to read the Status Update on one of the FB Pages - The Real India, I would call it as one of the most impractical status as it read - "प्रधानमंत्री जी ने अपने अनुभव के आधार पर कहा कि,पैसा पेड़ो पर नही उगता.सही बात है प्रधानमंत्री जी,पैसा तो आजकल कोयले की खदानों में उगता है" (Prime Minister on the base of his experience said that money doesn't grow on tree, Very rightly said Mr Prime Minister, Money these days actually grows in the Coal Mines)

My Straight questions to the people behind the Particular page are - 

1. Do we have to be Sarcastic in every aspect of the Government's Action?  
2. If you are representing "The Real India" please tell me if THE REAL INDIA can afford a Loss of 12500 Crore in a day?  
3. Doesn't a Day's Productivity throws back nation's progress?? 
4. Now that the Finance Minister has reduced the Excise on LPG Cylinders to be 0 and the Congress Governments in respective States have added 3 additional Cylinders per house hold to make it 9 per year, what is there for the Other Political parties to do? Shouldn't they be following the suit or it would be disgraceful for them to do so as they lost the upper hand?
5. Would the respective State Government go in for enforcing the Austerity Measures to ensure that the state's expenditure would go down so that they can save from the Budget and thus adjust the Budgeted taxes on the LPG as well as Diesel to provide the respite to the Common Man they tried to represent when they observed the Bandh?

Now, please also read this carefully as I am in no way supporting Government for the Coal Block Scam.  As is the country is already reeling under the burden of Scams and pretty interesting that all the Scams came to limelight during the tenure of the current Government. But Obvious the current Govt, is responsible for the portions they have executed and they need to set it right and in order to ensure that the losses are recovered by bringing in the corrections.  Certainly that would happen only when there would be a good coordination between the allies and the Unhindered Process of the Parliamentary Proceedings.  

If we have chosen a Government then we need to let them carry out their function of Governance. Certainly we need to oppose them for anything where they go wrong or where they commit a fault. But that does not mean that we try to bring the entire nation to halt. There is a better way to oppose Government's move and Parliamentary Process has provided for an option on that side.  We should not resort to get on the streets and cause loss to the Nation.

I have a general appeal to all the readers -

"If you are really that passionate about the country, then please come forward and press for Austerity Measures in the Respective States you think are doing good."

Poor Empowerment or Another Scam Scheme?

Just Read and Article on TOI - "Every poor family may get a mobile"

Salient observations made - 

1. Har Hath mein phone 
2. Expected to be announced on August 15, 2012 by PM 
3. Scheme is of Rs. 7000 Crore
4. 200 minutes to be free
5. To be Funded from the Telecom Department's Universal Service Obligation Funds
6. Scheme would involve Monthly expenditure of Rs. 100 / mth / phone
7. 50% of Funds to come from the Successful Bidder

Interesting that this stuff is coming at a juncture when most of the political parties are working towards ensuring that they prepare the right manifest and are putting the right Foot forward for the elections coming up in 2014.  This could lead to a speculation that the UPA has a hidden motive to reach the masses that play important role in the Poll Swings.  A Scheme that may be dubbed as the scheme to empower the Poors or the BPL families.  A scheme that would certainly have UPA earn some browny points.

Few points that I derived from the reading - 

1. What would be the base to identify the "Poor"? If it would be the wages, well a good point.  But, if the Poor doesn't have enough to eat meals twice a day or to have a house to live, what would they do with the Phone? 
2. What would be the per minute charges beyond initial 200 free minutes? 
3. What would Govt do if the Poor wouldn't have the required money to pay for the excess bill? it is sure that if the bill is for the amount that the Poor Will Not be able to Pay, the service will get disconnected. What would Govt. do to ensure that the services are restored
4. How would Govt. ensure that the "Poor" do not sell off the phones for quick money?
5. How would Govt. ensure that the phones do not get misused and do not get in the wrong hands?
6. Wouldn't it be good to ensure that the Poor get better education facility than the phone? If the poor wouldn't know to read and write, how are they going to use the mobile effectively?
7. Wouldn't it be better to run a scheme that would ensure that the Poor get facilitated to get recurring Job and regular Income? That would ensure regular meals for them, that is what I opine.

These are just few questions that came to my mind and I couldn't stop wondering as to what would be the overall mechanism by the Government to ensure that the end result if the scheme would as "Envisaged" and as Expected.....

Youth and Intemperance

Intemperance refers to the quality of lacking restraints and is often used to represent the habit of excessive alcoholism, drug abuse and similar other evil habits of exceeding one/s appetite of consuming food or beverages.

The issue of Intemperance is widely observed in the society today.  With the ever decreasing size of families, more independence, increasing loneliness and other similar attributes, the youth today is experiencing a lot more inclination towards one or other form of Intemperance.  With more and more social networking getting online to the newer interaction media, the life of an average youth is more restricted to limited places and more of activities by the youth is being observed online.  

All the situations and circumstances are leading the youth to one specific corner.  The youth today wants to exhibit that cool and chick personality online and loves to brag around in virtual as well as real world about his or her hap attitude.  To exhibit their hap attitude, the youth get inclined to alcohol, smoking habits, drugs and similar other ill habits.  And before they realize, they find themselves that deeply involved in these habits that they can't think of a day without them, leading themselves at times to Intemperance, or over consumption.  This can be well represented by the ever increasing young deaths due to overdose of drugs and increasing medical expenses for excessive alcoholism.

For instance let me sight a case where this young chap was over indulged in the social networking.  He, who was a lot active in the field games in his school days when internet and social networking sites were not that a craze. But, by the time he was in second year of his college, he got hooked on to the internet and social networking sites.  You may say that the first sign of Intemperance with over indulgence to specific activity.  Slowly and slowly his interactions in real world were limited to the college and studies and more of his time was spent online.  He had a big time image in the virtual world where he was known as a Dare Devil, with a clean image of non-alcoholic and non-smoker.  There he was a regular gamer too and in one such game he lost the bet to someone in truth or dare sort of case.  That was the first time he had a drag of smoke and his first sip of beer. Over the time he developed the taste for both and before his friends and family could realize what was going around, Beer and Smoke became his best buddies in the confinement of his room.  the Young 20 something lad who had an Athlete's Physique turned into a So Called "Fatso" with that typical Beer Belly and "Bull Dog" Face.  His family, friends and well wishers tried to get him away from these regular companions, but more they tried, more he got drawn towards them.  The case went to the tune where he was admitted to Hospital for medical issues related to Lungs, for excessive smoking that too in closed room.  Today, at 22 something, the young lad is working back to regain his life that was prevalent in his early teens.  Life saved after getting into the trap of Intemperance....

Another case where this young girl of 16 something from a Middle Class Family got in a circle of girls from rich and affluent families. She started feeling out of the class and to be at par with them, she started demonstrating her so called "High Class" habits of smoking and junk foods. With time she realized her family can't afford to pay her the pocket money to lead the life like those girls and that was the first time she stepped on the wrong side of the life: she went to a rave party where under the influence of alcohol and drugs she accepted offer to sleep with someone for money. Today, she is high on drugs and has become a high society escort to fund her Intemperance for alcohol, smoke and drugs. Her family has disowned her for she brought the disrepute to them.  Life lost and spoiled in the trap of Intemperance!!!

There are many such cases where lives get spoiled and lost due to the lack of willpower and lack or support from families and friends.  It is very easy in today's society to get tempted towards something and slowly get into the vice like grip of Intemperance. And with the low social indulgence in the real society or lack of moral support, there are many lives that are lost or spoiled.

So, what should we be doing?  It's your call, we can actually do a lot towards such cases.  Just look around yourself and you would find one or other case of Intemperance. May be, you yourself may be suffering due to Intemperance.  It is important that we identify such cases well in time and help the one suffering to come out of the vice like grip of Intemperance.

Clemency Petitions

Clemency -  Disposition to be Merciful and especially to moderate the severity of Punishment Due.

In India, there is a provision for the convicts sentenced to Capital Punishment to file a Clemency Petition.  But do they do any good to the cases?  Let's have a look at the typical case that got highlighted just a couple of weeks earlier - 

A Convict sentenced Capital Punishment for Raping a Minor and then killing her had filed a Clemency Petition in the office of President of India.  Interesting twist to the case was that the Culprit was diagnosed with AIDS and he died 9 years back.  And the embarrassing situation - "President of India grants Clemency" to the dead.

Another case, a terrorist who was charged for Waging War against the Nation and is sentenced for Capital Punishment.  There is a lot of debate between NGOs and in the Political cordons that the identified terrorist should be granted Clemency.  Why? because they think in the civilized world, there is no scope for Clemency. Pretty Interesting....Civilized, do these terrorists belong to civilized world?

The question for the readers and the citizens of the country to answer is -

1. What should be the qualification criteria for the Clemency Petitions? 
2. What should be the process of accepting the Clemency Petitions?
3. What should be the time period to notify the acceptance / rejection of Clemency Petition?
4. What should be the period to Honor Clemency Petitions?

My Take for the first question is - "Any proven Terrorist's Clemency Petition should be Rejected by Default"  The act of War against Nation MUST result in Capital Punishment and there Should NOT be any scope of leniency with the Enemy of the Nation!!

For the question 2 to 4, my take would be to ensure that the Clemency Petitions are thoroughly investigated and evaluated within a defined time-frame say of 4 to 6 months.  It certainly should not take years and cause embarrassment to the highest office, the office of President.  There we need to come out of Bureaucratic Red Tapism and delays!!!

Live Real, Live Practical

Living in the world of fantasies is the worst sin that you can commit to yourself.  What is needed and expected by you from yourself is to come out in the big bad world of reality and live real and live practical.  Every one of us has one or other fantasy that we live with, but we should ensure that we do not live in the moments of fantasy, but realize that the world requires a practical approach towards life.

By practical approach to life what I mean to say is that we must realize that the things around us do not always happen as we think.  The people around us are not always the best of the set that we may think and we may believe.  We often get carried away by the fantasies of our life and find that we have opened our darker secrets to someone who is creating a mockery of it now and is now trying to exploit us and the situations to get benefited.

There are several moments during which we actually do not realize what we are doing and what we are upto. And in Real and Practical life these moments hurt us the most.

So be Practical and Live Real than living in the fantasies of the life.  Floating in fantasies is good till we are not hurt, but floating beyond a level is certain to get us hurt....as reality Bites, and when it bites, it bites hard....

Leading Life Serene and Beautiful

When we look around oneself, we find people who think life is a journey, or it is a bitch or may be melodrama or stage where each one of us play our part.  Seldom do we find anyone who is happy with own life and who can claim to be happy.  

Certainly being happy with life would mean being contended and being satisfied with what we have with us and what we would love to posses and live through life.  But, the biggest problem that we have and that we see around us is the way people perceive their lives.  In particular when it comes to value some relations and understanding the limitations associated with others.  I have often found people rather jumping into something or some relation for the momentary happiness they get out of it, but life is not about the moments that fill the life.  Life is about living the life in a way that every moment is full of joy.  Certainly the other aspects like sorrow, hatred, likes and dislikes would always be around the periphery. But, what is important is to keep them away and out of periphery and let the sphere of life glow with happiness.

I know many of you who would read this would say Easier Said than Done. But it is equally easy to practice too.  There are various ways to attain this blissful state and there are as many paths to choose from.  One way is to try and attain the ultimate Consciousness or what is referred as Parmatma.  But then that path is not as easy for many to take.  Another way is to keep away from ones own ego, but then not many people understand the difference between Ego and Self Respect and often people mix the two. Another way is to abandon the worldly pleasures and that would be the end of woes. But then the people around wouldn't let you live in that blissful state.

So what is the way out? I guess for me it would be easiest to understand the demarcation between Self Respect and Ego to ensure that I keep away from the Ego.  If a "Why" is coming when you read the point, then let me explain the reason.

Ego, is the state of mind when one takes everything that is against his/her liking as an offence.  Well pretty interesting twist to that is the other side of the coin when if someone wants to attain / achieve / gain something or win someone's heart, then also they take it as a Challenge and they make it an Ego Point to ensure that they achieve their target.  Both the states are dangerous as in the first case, the person may be dangerous and harmful and in the second case, the person can go to any extent to the tune of slaughtering one's own Self Respect.  

So, I would like to be in neither state as in both the cases, I am not just causing issues and problems for myself, but for the people around also.  I would prefer to stay back with my Ego packed in the package and thrown deep down in the Times Well to not even let it near me.  So without an Ego, I wouldn't be hurt and at the same time I wouldn't have to experience the Ego of others.  Certainly, I wouldn't have to then fall in either brackets as defined above.  So, this is going to help me stay peaceful at least on the personal aspects of life.  

The struggle would certainly be there in life as in the journey of life would pose different challenges with the changes coming with the due course in time.  But, with hassle free state of mind when We approach our lives with an open mindset and no preemptive expectations of the forthcoming things, then we would be in much better a state of being happy than not.

Another thing that I would prefer to do is to look around myself to find happiness with and in the people around me.  I prefer not to chase happiness in things that are not in vicinity or in visible state.  If there is uncertainty associated with something, it sure will bear the fruit of sorrow and sadness.  One point that might be raised here is Life itself is uncertain, but please do note that the Uncertainties of Life are unknown and in my previous statement, the uncertainties that I referred are known uncertainties.

Another aspect in life that I suggest to keep straight is "What do you want from Life?" Keep a clear answer of this question for yourself, if not sharing with others. Just getting confused and making others confused does not help anyways.  One must have a clear path carved out for oneself in one's life.    

Falling for you

Often in our life we come across circumstances that lead us to situations of dilemma.  We often find ourselves at the juncture where we have to decide between "To Do" or "Not To Do".  And if the circumstances and situations are related to our Love Life, we become indecisive to the extent of getting confused.  Though we know what decision we need to take, but we still do not accept it. We let our feelings rule over our logic sense and get ourselves in the situation of pain.

The Feeling of Love is divine, there is no doubt about it.  But, when I read the terms like "Falling For You" or "Falling in Love", they send a negative vibe to me. I had already written earlier in an older post that the word Falling somehow makes me feel about the Failure and Pain associated. The terms of Falling for You or Falling in Love for me relate to the state of Submission or Surrender to the person irrespective of the treatment that we are getting from the person.  Recently, I came across a statement "The Only Fall I will never Regret in my Life is Falling for You, but the only Regret that I have is You Never Gave me the Altitude to Spread My Wings and Fly with You". The statement clearly represents the resentment in the writers thought process for not being able to achieve the desired state or result for the efforts worth.  The words are very wisely chosen and pretty nicely composed to make the Statement, making it look a very good Representation.  

I liked the statement when I read it first, then I read it again as it amused me.  I am not sure how many times I read it to appraise the writer who would have written it in such a beautiful manner.  But the repetitive reading started giving me different meanings that could be derived out from the statement.  I can quote few of them as - 

1. State of Love that couldn't mature
2. State of Frustration that resulted from may be wasted time and effort
3. State of Dependence on the person whom the writer loved, but the person on the other hand didn't value the love and feelings 
4. State of Dilemma that the writer presented by referring to the Fall and the absence of Altitude to be able to spread the wings.

I am sure the writer would have never meant to represent the above meanings.  Well, the meaning that writer would have intended would have been - 

"I tried rising up to cross the hurdles of expectations that you built around me, but you always went on raising the bar of expectations. You wanted me to to rise to the levels in life to cross the hurdles, but forgot that those levels are to be crossed by holding the hands and making an effort together.  You left my hand midway and I fell, but you forgot that alone you yourself would be helpless. Your Ego will not help you in crossing those hurdles that you had set around for me. The same hurdles would haunt you one day to hit your when it would be most painful."

When Devils Break Free

God and Devil both can be simply defined with the two words Good and Bad.  Both God and Devil reside within a Human Being and they bring out the Beauty or Ugly side of a person in a given scenario.  Most of the time when the conscious of the person rules the God Prevails and the person remains a Harmless, Selfless and Sober person.  However, when a person is hurt to the core of his existence due to one or other reason, the Devil mostly wins and at that time the person becomes a Revengeful, Harmful and Selfish person.

However, there are cases when the Devil breaks free from the Shadows of the God within, but still the person in consideration remains Harmless to society, but becomes Harmful to own self.  When a Devil breaks free in such a person, that person does become Revengeful by not directly taking a revenge on others, but ensuring that the others feel the pain of himself harming himself.  Normally such things occur when the person in consideration becomes harmful and revengeful due to something that involves his loved ones.  In such cases specifically, though the Devil breaks free, the person still can't hurt, harm or take revenge on his loved ones and so he starts harming himself in a manner that the pain is felt by the loved ones.

It's very important and critical to control such cases where Devil breaks free due to loved ones.  Because in such cases the feelings of the person die, there remains No Emotion except Anger and Hurt. In such cases, the person in consideration doesn't express himself anymore and goes numb to anyone's feelings and emotions...

Often in Life we come across situations and circumstances where we feel that we are getting stagnant. However, if we look around then its actually the time to Move On, keeping all that has made us stagnant and keeping all expectations aside.

Expectations are the state of mind that puts limitations around us and make us weak enough to cripple under the wilting pressure of them not getting fulfilled.  Hopes are something that may or may not get fulfilled but they do not have that pressure on us that break us in case they are not fulfilled.

Heart v/s Mind

It is often said that you feel from heart and think from mind. However, if you actually would see its not the heart that acts on its own.  The feelings are generated in mind and pulses generated by mind actually make body produce some hormones that make your heart beat variate and it is the impact of feeling on the heart than anything else.

Decisions v/s Compulsions

Decisions taken with fully understood situations and circumstances help one feel happy.  Decisions that are taken under the influence of Sociological impulses are more of compulsions to which you actually try to compromise.  The second set is actually a Compulsion that certainly might be beneficial for others but not for you for sure.

Family v/s Community

It is pretty interesting to note that Families make a Community whereas when it comes to the decisions that family has to make, the Community gets more importance and we all look at the impact that the family would have if a member goes against the norms of that family.  Pretty interesting and pretty strange that we fear of the reaction of community towards our family, when our family actually constitutes the Community.

Love v/s Care v/s Exploitation

The most severe kind of combination.  You might be Loving and Caring, but when on the Name of Love and Care, you start Exploiting the people around you, you turn out to be selfish. Love is the state where you tend to look at the happiness of your loved ones. Care is the state where you want to ensure that your loved ones do not face problems and they are treated the way they are to be treated. Exploitation is the state where you show Love, Tenderness and Care, but actually to gain out of the relation giving a damn about the sufferings of the subject.

Sacrifice v/s Gain

Its very interesting to note that when you sacrifice, you actually gain from it. It only depends on time before you know what have you sacrificed and what have you gained.  Another interesting aspect here is when you sacrifice something for someone, they think they have gained something, but they actually end up losing more than they have gained from your sacrifice.

Decisions of Life

Decisions in our life are often subjected to the way the Social Setup would react. Not always but most of the times our decisions are based on what would the people around would talk about the happenings in our life.  I am not sure why we have to at times take adverse decisions than the one we actually want to take.

For example when you are looking at doing something in life that is not something that your social status would approve of.  You end up taking a decision against yourself and for the happiness of the family, extended family and in particular your loved ones.  All of sudden from the glorious Present you start looking at the Gloomy future because you have to take a decision that other than you everyone approves of.

Pretty strange but most of the times such  decisions have far fetched negative impact on your life, but on the other-side it has a lot of positive impact on the life of your loved ones.  You decide to take a step so that you end up sacrificing for the happiness of your family and loved ones and they in turn start supporting your decision not because you sacrificed, but because you end up giving boost to their happiness and their decision.

One typical case where a friend ended up taking an adverse decision that was not his own decision but forced on him by family and friends.  His girlfriend started supporting his decision by not trying to encourage him but by sighting the benefits that she would derive from that decision.  I felt bad about that friend, but had nothing to say as that decision where he sacrificed his choice for family and friends is something I don't align to.  Though if I would have been in that situation, I guess I would have taken the same decision to keep family ahead of self. 

The only thing that comes to my mind in such cases - "If you have to take a harsh decision on yourself, take it and move on with your life. Don't bother for what others would think of you, as there would be as many talks as there would be the perspectives.  Sometimes even your Loved ones would try to see their befit from your decision, Don't bother, let everyone gain something when you are losing.  May be you were supposed to be sacrificing for the benefit of others.  Live on as life wouldn stop existing."

Decisions 

Sometimes some decisions are too hard to be taken as they shatter you. These are the tough decisions that you need to take by keeping yourself clear from the impact.  It's Hard to do that, but for the benefits of those involved, you have to do it.  Such decisions are certainly not easy for oneself, but if they can bring happiness and smile to your loved ones, there is no harm in taking such steps.  After all, when you love someone, you need to be ready to sacrifice for them.

Love

Love is something that had to be unconditional with none or least expectations. It's better to have hopes than actually living with set expectations. You might love someone but its important that you are ready to forgo your love for that person. Love is not gaining back the love, but Love is getting to see your Loved Ones Happy.

Community and Community Leaders

A collective group of people driving and living their lives as per their understanding.  It is led by a set of people who have already lived the prime of their lives and now they want to control the way others live. The driving factor to decide what happens in your life is the Fellow Community Members and their thought process as is molded by the Community Leaders.

A set of people who are related to you by blood and they are the most nosy set of people when it comes to your life.  They are least bothered with what happens in their house, but are always interested in ensuring that they talk about your life and create disturbances in your life

Silly State of mind that is created by the illusion that you are not impacted by any of the above and that you live your life the way you want.  The fact is that your life is directed by the above factors and the above factors never lead to Happiness.

Parents

The most precious set of human beings who are by your side in all the circumstances and want to see you Happy all the times. They help you deal with your negatives and help you improvise on your positive aspects.  They live by you, for you and with you in all circumstances and are just concerned about your well being.  They sacrifice for you all their life without expecting anything in return. The most important and the most loved ones who always care for you irrespective of situations and circumstances.

 

 

Relationship - Part I

Relations in human life are very important. Right from the childhood, the relations of mother, sister, father, brother, grandparents, cousins etc start impacting our life.  As we grow, we find ourselves surrounded with extended relations coming from the society and through our social circles. Some of these relations are with us from our birth and go through our life and others are chosen by us.  Some are imposed on us and others are by only and only our choice.  However, none of the Chosen relations are the ones that impact us through our life except for our better half (husband and wife).

The reason the relation between a husband and wife is the most important from the chosen set of relations, because they have to live their life together and also ensure that the good camaraderie that they carry helps nourish their kids with the values and culture and the societal norms.

When a girl accepts a guy as her husband, she actually is ready to trade her future for her past. She leaves her comfort zone, her parental home to be accepted in her new home. It is like venturing in an unknown territory and setting up a new house from scratch.  She leaves behind all her comfort at her parent's home and moves to her Husband's home to make it her new abode with her new family and another set of parents. 

(The reason I chose not to write in-laws is I hate the concept and I believe that Parents need to be referred as Parents only irrespective of whether they are girl's own or her husband's.)

The girl when moving from her Parents place where she was always treated like a Princess, certainly would start her journey of wedded life with apprehensions. Her husband has to ensure that she gets the same level of treatment as she was getting at her Parent's place.  Her husband's Parents need to treat the new member in their house as their own daughter.  The girl also needs to accept her new abode as her house for the rest of the life and should work towards adopting the values and culture of the new family she has joined. Certainly this does not mean that She forgets the values and culture that she was taught by her Parents.  

On the other hand, the guy has to be also treated like a Prince Charming by the girl, irrespective of his Pro's and Con's.  She might have been waiting for the Knight in Shining Armor, but she needs to now ensure that she treats her husband as one.  If her husband is treating her like a Princess, he also deserves to be treated like a Prince.  The girl should also treat her husband's Parents as she treated her own Parents.  And if she treats them with a little extra respect, the world would be hers.

No One Killed Jessica - Thoughts Ignited

Background to the Movie "No One Killed Jessica" -

Jessica Lal (1965–1999) was a model in New Delhi, who was working as a celebrity barmaid at a crowded socialite party when she was shot dead on 29 April 1999. Dozens of witnesses pointed to Siddharth Vashisht, a.k.a. Manu Sharma, the son of Venod Sharma, a wealthy and influential Congress-nominated Member of Parliament from Haryana, as the murderer.

In the ensuing trial, Manu Sharma and a number of others were acquitted on 21 February 2006.

Following intense media and public pressure, the prosecution appealed and the Delhi High Court conducted proceedings on a fast track with daily hearings conducted over 25 days. The trial court judgment was overturned, and Manu Sharma was found guilty of having murdered Lal. He was sentenced to life imprisonment on 20 December 2006.

No one Killed Jessica, a movie that carries a social message, but I guess most of us would not even have watched the movie and most out of those who have watched the movie would have either not understood the message or would have conveniently forgotten the message after coming out of the theater.

If I talk about myself, I was not interested in watching the movie itself, because the case of Jessica Lal Murder had given rise to many questions that include –

1. Do you consider Justice Delayed as Justice Denied?
2. Do you think that the Law Enforcement Agencies and the Judicial System in India is up for Sale? Associated question here is – Do you think Justice in India can be bought?
3. Do we think that the Justice in India is dependent on how high or low profile case is? 
4. Do you think If the case gets highlighted in media and gains momentum with the Masses, the Justice is actually delivered, otherwise the Powerful buy the Justice in their favor?

There are many such questions that came to my mind and I avoided watching the movie for quite some time.  But today when I was on the flight, my colleague and Boss suggested me to watch the movie. Incidentally or Interestingly, the set of questions that were already in my mind got emboldened after I watched the movie.

Another aspect that has been very subtly highlighted in the movie is the Role of Media. Very Specifically the movie highlights the Interest areas of today’s journalists.  Yeah, they are not interested in a news or a case, unless it is a Sensational news or a controversial topic.   Specifically when the NDTV Correspondent (as in the movie), Meera, makes a statement on the typical “Open & Shut” case of the Murder, but 6 years later realizes that there is a lot of chance to create some name and get some fame on the name of Getting Justice Delivered.

The third aspect to the movie and pretty interesting one, The Judicial System of India is based on the laws that were enacted by Britishers around 1860s and the system is still based on the same set of laws with least or may be a few amendments here and there.  And that clearly states that those who can manipulate the laws and twist them in their favor would get the justice delivered in their favor irrespective of who’s right or who’s wrong.

One Big Question that I have been seeking answer for and that I let you all decide if you would like to dwell in your thoughts to get the answer –

“Does India require to take on the Streets, organize Candle Light Vigils or conduct Fast Unto Death to get the Justice or to ensure that the Right Wins? Is it that to get the justice, we need to sensationalize our case and then get media support to organize the rest of events?"

I don’t know, but after watching the movie, I got the feel as if Media needs to be used as the Cushion / Comforter or may be an Event Management organization to get Justice Delivered!!!

Dassault Rafale Deal with Indian Airforce

So Finally French Company Dassault succeeded to reach the final stage of negotiations with Indian Defense for the Rafale Fighter Jets.  And there we hear all the hue and cry from the various quarters. Reminds me of the time when this deal was in the initial stage and US companies Boeing and Lockheed Martin were ousted from the race for F-16s and the F-18s hornets.  Though the news that came to the Media is the selection of Rafale on the basis of Lowest Bid, it would be interesting to know the technicalities involved.    

My own research on Rafale v/s Eurofighter Typhoon v/s F16s and F18 hornets reveals that overall Rafael is quite a good deal for the Indian Airforce.  Interestingly in the one-to-one dogfight with the other mentioned fighter jets, Rafale had been proven the best of the lot. 

In another comparison with the identified fighter Jets by Dutch Royal Airforce, Rafale had received the score of 6.95, second only to the F35s which got 6.97. Certainly that is the close shave between F35s and Rafale.  So, when F35s were nowhere in the race, Rafale stands out to be the best when it comes to the maneuverability, flying capabilities and the other specifications as per the Indian Defense Organization.  

Certainly, one things needs to be agreed on and that would be around the Training of the Fighter Pilots and  the maintenance team for the purpose of ensuring that the Fighter Jets are engaged and maintained in the same fashion as the highest order in quality.

The one thing that I would like to remember ultimately - A fighter Jet is as good as the Fighter Pilot handling it!!

Humans - Where are they disappearing?

When we look around ourselves, we find that we are surrounded with Humanoids.  Only a few of them are humans whom you can trust and over the years it is increasingly becoming tough to distinguish between the Humans and Humanoids.  But, Yes the Humans do exist in this crowd of Humanoids.

You might be wondering why am I using the word Humanoids because they are rogue, they are vague and they are someone who you might think to know, but in actuality you don't know them.  They are someone who would use you, just for their entertainment and would just think of you as a means or a medium or a commodity to make their ends meet.  Are you thinking I would rather use the word Pest, then NO, I don't want to use words that mean more than what I want to convey. The reason of Humanoids as my choice here is for the reason that such people around you show their Love, Compassion and their Interest in you and what you do and who you are, they try to please you and then at the end when their ends are met, they would just throw you out of their life as they throw the waste from their body.

There actually are many varieties of Humanoids, some use you for Emotional support, some for Financial, some for Physical and  well then the Hybrid Humanoids. Here the most complex is the ones that use you for Emotional Support but are of Hybrid kinds. When you get comforted in their company and start trusting them, somewhere from their Background Comes the sound of a big thud and you realize - Holy Cow, what am I doing, whom was I trusting and what all I blurted out.  At that moment you feel totally miserable because by that time you would definitely have had entered into a sort of relationship with such at the least One person with whom you would have entered a platonic relationship and would have had physical relations.  Well it might happen and that's life of us the Human Beings. In such cases, the way out is really difficult as Such a Humanoid may actually become a PEST. (hope you would not understand why I didn't want to use the word pest earlier :) )

Sometimes it happens that a Humanoid around you catches you on your weak point, gets up and close with you emotionally and physically, looks to get your support and then there when you start sharing your feelings with such a Humanoid, you get to hear from certain quarters that the Humanoid has really been complaining around of your "Double Standards".  Interesting?? huh!!! Well yeah telling you and telling the people around that though the Humanoid Loves you, you love someone else and when Humanoid wants to share time with you, you share stories of your Love with Humanoid.  Well, yeah that happens.  This is where I, in the second part of the previous paragraph said - "At that point you feel totally miserable".... Yes this is the point I was referring to there. 

So, what should one do in case of getting stuck with a Humanoid?  I would suggest Play along, with Caution of Not to Blurt out your secrets.  This does not mean that you should let the other person use you whether Emotionally or Physically.  I understand it is very difficult to identify between Human and Humanoid, so I wouldn't call it your fault to fall in the trap.  What you should do in case you fall pray to such a Humanoid, is not to fight to come out of the web of the Humanoid, because it is like a spider web or say quick sand, more you try to come out of it more you get entangled in it>  It is advisable here to make cautious moves to slowly and steadily distance yourself from the Humanoid.  Please be Extra Cautious in case of the Emotional Humanoids as they may claim distress, depression and mental trauma because of your act and blame you for their misery.

Few things to take care of when playing along with the Humanoids - 

1. Don't Trust them on what they say as they say something and mean something
2. Don't counter them right out, instead your gestures and expressions should be supportive and understanding
3. Try to make them believe that you are with them and you would go all out to do anything for them. You need not do anything not even pick up a pebble. You can always highlight one or other genuine reason for your incapacitation.
4. Gradually distance yourself from them with decreased communication and decreased communication channels with them
5. Never in life discuss your personal matters with them post you identify them as Humanoid, else they may go extra-mile to exploit you and your situation

Love v/s Lust

Love and Lust, the two facets of life.  Love the way it presents itself, is more divine and Lust the way it appears if more devilish.  But is that true?  For me I don't think so, because Love in certain form leads to Lust or say, Love in certain forms is called Lust. 

I guess you would be thinking as if I have gone crazy to write what I wrote above, but just evaluate it this way - Lust is more associated with Physiological needs and Physiological attractions than Psychological.  Love on the contrary is more of a Psychological need of human beings.  For instance when people say "Love at First Sight", they are more attracted towards the Physical Appearance of the person they think they are in love with.  Love in this case from my viewpoint is nothing but Lust, because what you loved is the Physical Body and not the Actual Personal or the Personnel Traits.

People say Lust is animalistic and incidentally they at the same time make a comment "Making Love" when they actually mean sexual involvement.  Now, isn't that a form of Love associated with the Physiological need?  Yeah what is attached to it is the Lust.  Making Love or Having Sex are just two different way to refer to the same act and there is no difference, unless there are facets of tenderness, care and passion involved in it.  Without these three, Making Love is nothing but satisfying one's Lust.

Love on the contrary is too broad and there is no limitation or boundary to the feeling of Love.  It can just transform from one kind to other but it never ends.  Love is simply a divine feeling that just increases for someone with good camaraderie and with whom you have a good "Chemistry".  The reason I used the word Chemistry is for the sole reason that when you find someone pleasing and someone really nice, your body reacts in a particular fashion to generate Hormones that increase your energy levels and that result in more positive attitude within yourself.  Love for that reason is divine as it increases the positive attitude than the negative and it keep you more healthy than not.

Lust and Love both have their own place in our lives, but we need to keep them where they belong.  It does happen at times that Lust takes over Love and we later think that we did something wrong. Socially or morally it could be considered wrong, but we need to understand that Lust is integral part of our life and our Physiological needs.

However, I am not suggesting that live for Lust :)) because Lust would not get you a Companion to lead your life, Love definitely would.  I say so because Love is also associated with Trust, Belief and Respect, which Lust might not even consider :)

Tiger Conservation & Enchroachment

Tiger the National Animal of India and a declared endangered specie lives almost on the fringes of existence in the mainland India.  Poaching is something that had been haunting the existence of this Royal Specie for quite sometime.  But the nuances of Encroachment and conversion of the Forests to Agricultural Land have really created another level of threat to the Tiger Conservation.  

The issue over Poaching can still be addressed with strict vigilance, but the problem of encroachment is something that results in shrinking habitat for the Tigers.  The Law Enforcement Agencies, the Forest Rangers and the Wild Life Conservators here face the biggest problem from the Politicians and their Vote Bank Agenda.  The Political Shield that the Encroachment Mafia gets due to the Vote Bank Politics has today created the problem of co-existence for the Civil Society & the Wild Life.  

If we look at the Government Initiatives on the Land Notifications for the Tiger / Wild life Sanctuaries,  the area as notified is calculated as per the expected tiger population and the area as required for each Tiger as per the "Territory Demarcation for each Tiger.  Yes, it indeed needs to be noticed and acknowledged that Tigers DO NOT share their territories and each Tiger has its own Marked Territory, which if is trespassed by another Tiger, the Ruling Tiger challenges the offending Tiger and a fierce fight breaks out for the winner to reign in the territory. So now, if the Human;s encroach the Tiger Territory, it indeed is a challenge to the Tiger owning that territory and thus it is a high possibility that the Tiger would attack the Human Population.    

Another issue as associated with the encroachment into Forest is the danger to the diversified Wild-Life due to space crunch. This diversified Wild-Life serves as the fodder for the Tigers, so the crunch of Food for Tigers would aggravate the situation with increased attacks by them on the Human Population.  They indeed need food somehow.  They would not understand the difference between a Deer, a Bison or a Human Being.  And if a Tiger becomes Man Eater once, it would remain a man-eater for life, so either it has to be captured and moved to some Zoo or the Human beings would end up killing and skinning that Tiger.  End result, one more Tiger less in the count!!!

What is required for the Forest Officers, Wildlife Rangers and the Government Officials here is to ensure that the encroaches are actively discouraged by spreading awareness among the humans.  A country-wide campaign needs to be launched to ensure that the existence of the Wildlife and humans needs to be balanced in a fashion that both can co-exist.  After all, we don't want Tigers only in zoo or say only in the History Books.  The Royal Beauty of the Forests must remain where its base is and where its Beauty & Grace is best Suited. 

A Tiger behind the Bars of the Zoo looks not more than a Prisoner and the King of Forests needs to be treated like a King only, nothing less.
